Collection: SWEET CAPORAL

Our first collection draws inspiration from Sweet Caporal Cigarettes, a 19th-century tobacco brand founded by Abbot Kinney and his brother. Sweet Caporal quickly became one of the leading cigarette brands in the U.S., and in 1890, the company merged to form the American Tobacco Company. Kinney later used the wealth he gained to develop Venice, CA, realizing his vision of the 'Venice of America' in 1905.

This collection reimagines the rich history of Sweet Caporal through carefully designed pieces that combine vintage advertising, bold typography, and unique cultural references. Staying true to Off Abbot’s mission of blending Venice’s storied past with modern streetwear, the collection offers a subtle nod to Kinney’s lasting influence on the city.
